I’m an Austrian born mountain soul with a lifelong love of nature and a passion for sharing what I have learned with others.

If you’ve landed here, chances are you are looking for something a little different from an ordinary Jeep tour, and I’m glad you found me.

For more than three decades, I’ve had the privilege of exploring Colorado’s high country and introducing people from all over the world to this remarkable place.

I’m fascinated by what grows, lives, and hides here. Wildflowers, wildlife, alpine mushrooms, edible and medicinal plants, geology, and history. I love sharing what I’ve learned over a lifetime in the mountains, especially the wild foods found along the way. As a certified European master chef, I can also share how these mountain finds can be prepared and used in the kitchen, adding another dimension to your experience. There is always something more to learn, and after all these years, that still excites me. “I truly love what I do, and because of that I’ve never worked a day in my life.”

You might hear me tell a story, identify a plant by its Latin name, point out something you might otherwise have passed right by, or even break into a yodel. Those unexpected moments are often what make an adventure memorable.
